Drivers for high-end New York food distribution company vote yes to I.B.E.W Local 1430.  On September 21, 2013 Drivers employed by  Chef's Warehouse overwhelmingly vote in support of Local 1430, (67-32).  Congratulations Brothers, welcome to the IBEW family, we look forward to accomplishing great things together!  Read more on page 4 of IBEW newspaper, "The Electrical Worker."

Jeraci Foods Employees stand up for Brother Vargas, a union brother terminated for supporting his union organizing campaign. I.B.E.W Local 1430 has created its first Political Action Committee ("PAC").  The PAC is a volunteer organization that will get involved in our local communities and with our local politicians that support the issues that affect working men and women.  Please visit the "Political Action Committee" link on our homepage to learn more about how you can get involved.

I.B.E.W Local 1430 gains recognition at it's third major Cablevision contractor, ACS Telecommunications.  On February 6, 2013, ACS employees joined the I.B.E.W and adopted the industry Collective Bargaining Agreement.  Welcome Brothers!

Corbel Installations acquires branches in Bridgeport, CT, Brooklyn, NY and Mamaroneck, NY that will now be operating under the I.B.E.W Local 1430 Collective Bargaining Agreement.  Congratulations to all the new brothers and sisters, welcome to the I.B.E.W!

I.B.E.W Local 1430 organizes second Cablevision contractor in the Bronx, NY.  The Technicians of C&I Associates elect the I.B.E.W as their union representative.  Congratulations and welcome Brothers!

I.B.E.W Local 1430 secures first contract for the Technicians of Corbel Installations.  This contract breaks ground as it is the first Collective Bargaining Agreement with any Cablevision contractor.  Congratulations to the employees of Corbel, it's been three long years, but your hard work has paid off!

I.B.E.W Local 1430 has recently named Joe Luciano as Union Treasurer.  Brother Luciano has been a long time shop steward and served on the e-board for over 10 years.  As we are saddened by the passing of our previous Treasurer, Ray J. Defino, we are glad to welcome Brother Luciano as the Union Treasurer.

I.B.E.W Local 1430 has recently lost a brother, a friend and a long time shop steward.  We are very saddened by the loss of Ray J. Defino.  Brother Defino was a shop steward for many years, was later voted to the e-board and eventually appointed as Union Treasurer.  Brother Defino served as Treasurer for over 10 years, right up until his passing on April 24, 2012.  Our greatest condolences are with the Defino family.
